Over the years, Drakes has seen our share of holiday gatherings and we have special memories of each one. From sit-down dinners to passed hors d’oeuvres, immense corporate holiday buffets to intimate cocktail parties, we’ve been honored to provide the Greater Baton Rouge businesses and homes with delicious and memorable food and cheer. When we sit down with a client to design the menu for a holiday event, we take into account their budget, their holiday party theme, and those “must-have” items such as a carving station, an assorted desserts table, or a signature cocktail for the event. Once we know the client’s vision, that’s when the magic happens.
Inspired by the traditional colors and flavors of the season, we’ve created some menu items that are requested favorites year-after-year. Our Turkey & Swiss with Cranberry, Root Beer Glazed Ham with Cheddar, and Roast Beef & Caramelized Onions with Cheddar are delectable sandwich options that capture the warmth, comfort, and nostalgic tastes of the holiday season.
For a delicious pop of holiday color, our clients enjoy our Cranberry and Brie Bites with Rosemary and our Caprese Skewers crafted from marinated mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and basil with a balsamic glaze.These holiday hors d’oeuvres are as tangy and savory as they are festive and fun.
Late Fall is often referred to as something else by Louisiana natives– Gumbo season! Our signature Chicken and Andouille Gumbo is a must have holiday staple for any of us who grew up in the Bayou State. The holidays are also the perfect time to satisfy guests whom seek a bit of decadent deliciousness. Our Beef Tenderloin Carved with Horseradish Mayonnaise is certain to impress holiday revelers. They will, no doubt, come back for seconds… and perhaps thirds.
For a touch of elegance and joie de vivre, our Season’s Greetings Cocktail offers guests all the joy and cheer of the season they can sip. Chilled clove & cinnamon-infused vodka is mixed with cran-apple juice and garnished with sugar-coated cranberries. It really is the perfect seasonal cocktail.
